Celebrating 25 years of SMSM presence in the Philippines

At the end of our assembly we launched a year of preparation for the 25 years of SMSM presence in the Philippines with an evening Eucharistic celebration, a short presentation of our history in the Philippines and a meal together with our friends / guests. During the Eucharist, celebrated by Fathers Larry Sabud sm, Pat sm, Aliki sm and Romeo Subaldo, we presented symbols representing our different ministries and prayed for all who have been involved with us. Those who attended appreciated the simplicity, uniqueness and creativity of the occasion as well as the Jubilee prayer and song written for the occasion.

We plan to have monthly activities leading up to the celebration in 2012. We recall our Philippine SMSM journey since 1987, aware of all who have been part of this, with gratitude for what has been and hope for what is to come. May the Lord's Name be blessed and Mary our perpetual superior ever inspire us to be true to our charism.
