8 February - Feast of St Josephine Bakhita and International Day of Prayer and Awareness against Human Trafficking.
Sisters Margaret Ryan and Pauline Gresham marked this day by attending a special Eucharist celebration in Rome. Hundreds of Religious attended and then they went to St Peters Square for the Angelus with Pope Francis.
The theme was ‘turn on the light’ so that people may have hope and freedom from slavery. There is an interactive website which you can share and encourage efforts against human trafficking:
