“Joyfully given to God for the Kingdom in the Spirit of Mary” (Const. #23)

On 25 October 2014, Sr Sofia Afoa made her perpetual vows at Buhangija Parish, Shinyaga, Tanzania. The St Catherine choir led the procession with lively and enthusiastic music and singing. The Vicar of Religious, Fr Paschael Kassase celebrated the Eucharist with seven priests. Sr Malia Nive Kepu represented Sr Georgeanne Marie Donovan, our congregational leader for this historical smsm event in Tanzania.

The celebration reflected our spirit of simplicity, joyfulness and gratitude to all. We were pleased to welcome the Marist Brothers from Mwanza and other religious as well as the students and people from the parish. We felt the spirit of unity and togetherness on this special occasion, an enriching and memorable experience for all.
