Sister John Paul, when invited by parishes or concerned groups, gives presentations on Human Trafficking in the United States. The audiences are eager to get involved with fighting human trafficking in their own area. She makes many suggestions, such as putting the national human trafficking hotline number on their cell phone; volunteering at an anti-trafficking organization, joining a campaign against trafficking like the UN Blue Heart Campaign and using the social media like Facebook and Twitter to spread the anti-human trafficking message.
Her work includes:
1) Doing international human trafficking research in San Francisco;
2) Working as a mentor at MISSSEY which helps trafficked children in Oakland;
3) Visiting and training people to visit hotels to help the employees to report trafficking.
