Prayer intentions - 10/2023

Prayer Intentions of the Pope

Each month the Pope invites all members of the Church to pray for particular needs. This month the Prayer Intentions of the Pope are:

For the Synod

We pray for the Church, that she may adopt listening and dialogue as a lifestyle at every level, and allow herself to be guided by the Holy Spirit towards the peripheries of the world.

Needs of the Church, the Congregation and the world

Join with us in praying for the needs of the Church, the Congregation and the world, in particular for:

Oct 27   Anniversary of the death of Sr Marie de Bon Secours

(Clotilde Louise Viannay – St Louis, New Caledonia, 1895)

Oct 29   Pontifical approbation of the Marist Sisters (1884)

Let us continue to remember in our prayers:

  • The general chapter, with its twofold mission: to promote congregational renewal in fidelity to the Gospel and to our vocation in the Church, and to elect the congregational leader and her council (Const. 382).
  • The Synod on Synodality from 4th to 29th October.
  • The young women who will begin their postulancy in Butare, Rwanda, on 7 October 2023.
  • Refugees who are seeking new life, and those who perish in the attempt.
  • Our generous benefactors who help us by their prayers and sacrifices, and the funding agencies who respond to our requests.
  • Our sisters, our loved ones and our benefactors who have died recently, and all those who have died because of war and natural disasters.
