Each month the Pope invites all members of the Church to pray for particular needs. This month the Prayer Intentions of the Pope are:
Join with us in praying for the needs of the Church, the Congregation and the world, in particular for:
For ONGOING FORMATION in our Congregation, so that each Sister will be able to “respond with fidelity and creativity to our particular vocation - missionary, Marist, religious.” (cf. Const. 294)In particular, we pray for:
· the LTSR group who will finish their time of renewal on 29 June;
· the Sisters called to participate in the Formation Meeting which will take place at Via Cassia from 5th to 26th July, which includes those engaged in DISCERNMENT,
FORMATION AND VOCATION ACCOMPANIMENT;
· the Sisters called to participate in the French-speaking Second Novitiate.
6th June: Feastday of Saint Marcellin Champagnat
Let us pray in communion with the Marist Brothers who celebrate the bicentenary of their foundation this year, and who are preparing for their 22nd General Chapter which will take place in the month of September in Colombia, with the theme “Towards a New Beginning.”
Let us pray for Vocations, using the SMSM prayer
O God our Father,
from whom every perfect gift comes to us,
hear our prayer.
Through the merits of Jesus Christ, your Son,
by the intercession of Mary our Mother,
Saint Joseph, St Peter Chanel, St Marcellin Champagnat
and all our Pioneers,
we ask you to guide our Marist Family,
to strengthen it, to guard it from error
and to bless all its branches with an increase of vocations.
Keep it always in peace, simplicity and fervour of spirit.
Through you, O Mary, may the name of the Saviour
be known, loved and honoured throughout the world.
