For disarmament and peace
Let us pray that nations move toward effective disarmament, particularly nuclear disarmament, and that world leaders choose the path of dialogue and diplomacy instead of violence.

Significant anniversary days and feast days in the Marist Family.

March 6: Anniversary of the death of Sr Marie Augustin (Marie Jacqueline Claray-Fromage, Crest-Voland, France 1896)

March 9: Anniversary of the letter of Pope Pius VII to Marist aspirants: first papal act towards the establishment of the Society of Mary (1822) (cf. OM 1, 74)

March 19   Feast of St Joseph: We also honour the Marist saints and those to whom the Society of Mary has traditionally prayed, especially St Joseph. (cf. Const. 139)

March 25   Feast of the Annunciation of the Lord:  We prepare by community prayer and we celebrate as a family (cf. Const. 140)

SMSM Intentions:  

We remember our sisters celebrating Jubilees and thank God for all the graces they have received in their Marist missionary lives.

Let us remember in our prayers and intentions:

  • Our SMSM Congregation: regardless of the stage each of us is on in life’s journey—including those in formation and their formators—may we continue to be the presence of Mary in our world today.
  • That the rapid evolution of technology, and artificial intelligence in particular, be directed toward the cultivation of authentically justand human 
  • Our sisters, relatives, friends, benefactors and colleagues who have died recently. May they enjoy the fullness of eternal life in the Kingdom.
  • The Lenten call to conversion that it may lead us into more compassionate and loving relationships both in our communities and with those we encounter daily.
  • The healing of nations and the safety of all who endure the weight of violence in our world, scarred by hostility and war.
  • Catechumens preparing for baptism in dioceses around the world that they may be supported and welcomed in their communities and, in turn, be leaven of grace for others.
