On January 6th, 2026, Pope Leo presided at a Mass which marked the closing of the Jubilee Year of Hope in the Basilica of St. Peter's. Despite the rain and icy conditions, our sisters who had taken part in the LTSR were present amongst the crowd in St Peter's Square at this historic event.
Pope Leo's gave a powerful homily for the world calling on all people to carry the hope of the Jubilee year into their daily lives. He emphasized that hope is not simply a feeling, but a living, active force that calls believers to foster unity, compassion, and justice in the face of adversity. The Pope urged everyone to be instruments of peace, reminding us that even in the most difficult moments, God's love is ever present, offering strength and guidance.
The sisters who made the effort to be present at the closing Mass found it a deeply moving experience, strengthening their commitment to live out the message of hope in their own communities and beyond.
