Sisters Annemarie, Frances Anna and Makelita are pictured here with Bishop Aloysius Balina of Shinyanga diocese. Early in May the three sisters completed their initial study of the Kiswahili language.
They are at present living in Shinyanga. Sr Annemarie visits the basic christian communities and is getting to know the language and customs of the people. Sr Makelita has begun teaching at the high school in Buhangija, and Sr Frances Anna is helping to restore the school library.
A house is to be built for the sisters in Buhangija, on the land being indicated by Srs Makelita and Annemarie in the photo. Donations for this project will be gratefully received from our Mission Partners (see Website page Our Mission – Become a Mission Partner).
