390 years in the service of mission in Mary's way

Jubilarians - (L to R) Srs. Margarete Woeste, Malia Vitalina, Phyllis Doucet, Therese Deveau, Rita Edge, Mary Siena and Mary PaulitaRecently in Boston, four sisters celebrated their Diamond jubilees together with three sisters who were celebrating their Golden jubilees. Srs. Mary Paulita, Therese Deveau, Rita Edge, Mary Siena (60 yrs) and Srs. Phyllis Doucet, Malia Vitalina and Margarete Woeste (50 years). All together they had given 390 years in the service of mission in Mary's way.

Their places of mission were as far dispersed as Fiji, Samoa, New Caledonia, Solomon Islands, Rome, Bougainville, Australia, Germany, Vanuatu, New Zealand, Jamaica and the United States. In all these places the sisters offered their services as teachers, nurses or pastoral workers, "having no other aim
than to seek humbly, with all, the coming of the Kingdom in its fullness". (SMSM Constitutions 17)
